I once had a movie described to me as, “an injection of adrenaline straight into your eyeballs” and I can’t think of a more appropriate description for Don Bentley’s sophomore Matt Drake novel.

This story is an unrelenting, unapologetic, take no prisoners thriller, with action from the very first pages in Austin, TX to the very last in the deserts of Iraq. Don continues to deliver pulse-pounding, edge of your seat excitement that keeps you ignoring things like sleep and sustenance in favor of getting to the next chapter. My only regret is waiting this long to read it.
